Orthopaedics
The Department of Orthopaedics of Yenepoya Medical College Hospital is one of the leading, dynamic orthopaedic center in Mangalore. The department is recognised nationally for their surgical excellence and enthusiastic teaching due to their vast experience. We have a team of 20 Orthopaedic Surgeons with specialised training both locally and internationally in Joint Replacement (Complex), Spine surgery, Arthroscopy and Sports medicine, Complex trauma management. In addition, department has Spine fellowship program.
At Yenepoya Medical College Hospital, the team use latest equipments, techniques for the care of patients and treating difficult / complex musculoskeletal disorders and we do whatever it takes for the patient to lead a full active and independent. The services provided includes all Spine surgeries including Microscopic dissection, Complex spine deformity correction, Joint replacement surgeries including Complex and revision surgeries, Arthroscopic procedures of knee and shoulder, Complex fracture fixation, Limb Salvage surgery for tumours.
The department of Orthopaedics conducts wide area of research to advance knowledge and has funded projects and grants. All faculties are committed to fulfil the motto of the department iL “Mobility is life, Life is mobility”.
