Radiology
Department of Radiology & Medical Imaging was established in the year 1999. Radio diagnosis is a branch of Medicine that utilizes radiation, ultrasound and magnetic resonance for diagnosis of diseases. It deals not only with imaging and diagnosis of diseases but also with therapeutic interventions for treatment of diseases. The department has progressed in its patient care, academic programs and research activities.
Services
- 3T MRI - High-end wide bore 3 Tesla MRI machine with specialized protocols for neuro and musculoskeletal imaging
- 128 SLICE MDCT - Latest multi-detector CT machine along with pressure injector with specialized protocols for cardiac imaging and also coronary, cerebral and peripheral angiograms
- Ultrasound and colour doppler - Multiple ultrasound machines for OP and IP with portable ultrasound for bedside imaging.
- Advanced foetal scans with 3D/4D imaging capabilities
- Sono-elastography for tissue assessment
- X-ray with fluoroscopy units - Multiple x-ray suites for OP and IP with portable digital x-ray services and wide variety of fluoroscopic studies.
- Mammography unit - Mammography unit with automatic exposure control and auto release of compression for safe and painless imaging of breasts
- Interventional radiology - CT and ultrasound guided interventional procedures with dedicated ultrasound guided interventional suite
- Vascular and non-vascular interventions under C-arm guidance
